4b. Where a devices incorporates, as an integral part, a substance, which, if used separately, may be considered to be a human tissue engineered product within the meaning of [Article 2 (2) of the Regulation (EC) No [.] of the European Parliament and of the Council (**) [on advanced Therapies and amending Regulation (EC) No 726/2004]] and which is liable to act upon the body with action that is ancillary to that of the device, that device must be assessed and authorized in accordance with this Directive.

Lorsqu'un dispositif incorpore comme partie intégrante une substance qui, si elle est utilisée séparément, est susceptible d'être considérée comme un produit fabriqué à partir de tissu humain au sens de [l'article 2, paragraphe 2, du règlement (CE) n° [.] du Parlement européen et du Conseil (**) [sur les thérapies avancées et modifiant le règlement (CE) n° 726/2004] et qui peut agir sur le corps humain par une action accessoire à celle du dispositif, ce dispositif doit être évalué et autorisé conformément à la présente directive".
