- Entwicklung einer thematischen Strategie für die Stärkung einer kohärenten und integrierten Politik zur Bekämpfung der Luftverschmutzung; diese soll Prioritäten für weitere Maßnahmen sowie die Überprüfung und gegebenenfalls die Änderung von Luftqualitätsnormen und nationalen Emissionsobergrenzen im Hinblick auf das langfristige Ziel, die mit dem Konzept der kritischen Eintragsraten und Konzentrationen (critical loads and levels) definierten Werte nicht zu überschreiten, umfassen sowie die Entwicklung besserer Informationserfassungs-, Modellierungs- und Vorhersagesysteme;
- a thematic strategy to strengthen a coherent and integrated policy on air pollution to cover priorities for further actions, the review and updating where appropriate of air quality standards and national emission ceilings with a view to reach the long term objective of no-excedence of critical loads and levels and the development of better systems for gathering information, modelling and forecasting;
