Traceability should be enforced through accurate donor, patient, and laboratory identification procedures, through record maintenance, and through an appropriate identification and labelling system. It is desirable that a system is developed in order to enable the unique and unmistakable identification of donations of blood and blood components in the Community.
Die Rückverfolgbarkeit sollte durch Verfahren für die fehlerfreie Identifizierung von Spendern, Empfängern und Laboratorien, durch das Führen von Aufzeichnungen und durch ein geeignetes Identifizierungs- und Kennzeichnungssystem durchgesetzt werden. Es ist wünschenswert, dass ein System entwickelt wird, das die einheitliche und fehlerfreie Identifizierung von Blutspenden und Spenden von Blutbestandteilen in der Gemeinschaft ermöglicht.
