To combat unemployment and increase the level of employment in the EU, the Committee called for a growth- and stability- oriented macroeconomic policy-mix, at national and European level, which would need to bring about a high level of investment, an expansion of production capacity and, more particularly, additional investment in human resources; it also called for continuing efforts in carrying forward the Luxembourg process for Labour market and employment reform and the Cardiff process for capital and product market reform.
Zur Bekämpfung der Arbeitslosigkeit und zur Erhöhung des Beschäftigungsstandes in der Europäischen Union tritt der Ausschuß für einen wachstums- und stabilitätsorientierten makroökonomischen Policy-Mix auf nationaler und auf europäischer Ebene ein, der ein hohes Investitionsniveau, eine Ausweitung der Produktionskapazitäten und insbesondere zusätzliche Investitionen in Humankapital bewirken müsse; er tritt auch ein für kontinuierliche Anstrengungen bei der Fortführung des Luxemburg-Prozesses zur Arbeitsmarkt- und Beschäftigungsreform und des Cardiff-Prozesses zur Reform der Kapital- und Produktmärkte.
