Germany has provided additional information, including a calculation by the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) according to which, if BGB had become insolvent, this would have resulted in the loss of between just over 7 000 and just under 10 000 jobs in Berlin (of the 12 200 jobs that existed in Berlin in 2001), whereas, according to the updated plan, the restructuring would lead to a loss of some 3 500 jobs in Berlin by 2006.
Deutschland hat daraufhin weitere Informationen übermittelt, unter anderem eine Berechnung des Deutschen Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW). Demnach hätte eine damalige Insolvenz der BGB zu einem Verlust von gut 7 000 bis knapp 10 000 Arbeitsplätzen in Berlin geführt (von den im Jahr 2001 bestehenden 12 200 Arbeitsplätzen in Berlin) geführt, wohingegen die Restrukturierung bis zum Jahr 2006 laut aktualisiertem Plan zu einem Verlust von rund 3 500 Berliner Arbeitsplätzen führen werde.
