1. The Governing Board shall consist both of appointed members providing a balance between those with experience in business, higher education and research (hereinafter referred to as appointed members) and members elected by and from among the higher education, research and innovation, technical and administrative staff, students and doctoral candidates of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) (hereinafter referred to as representative members).
(1) Der Verwaltungsrat umfasst sowohl ernannte Mitglieder, die ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis von Erfahrung in den Bereichen Wirtschaft, Hochschulbildung und Forschung widerspiegeln (nachstehend „ernannte Mitglieder“ genannt), als auch Mitglieder, die von dem Hochschul-, Forschungs-, Innovations-, Technik- und Verwaltungspersonal, den Studierenden und Doktoranden des Europäischen Innovations- und Technologieinstituts (EIT) und den Wissens- und Innovationsgemeinschaften (KIC) aus ihren Reihen gewählt werden (nachstehend „repräsentative Mitglieder“ genannt).
