If, at the lowest interest rate level accepted (i.e. the marginal interest rate), the aggregate amount bid exceeds the remaining amount to be allotted, the remaining amount is allocated pro rata among the bids according to the ratio of the remaining amount to be allotted to the total amount bid at the marginal interest rate (see Box 5).
Nachfolgende Gebote mit niedrigeren Zinssätzen werden so lange akzeptiert, bis der für die Zuteilung vorgesehene Gesamtbetrag erreicht ist. Wenn beim niedrigsten akzeptierten Zinssatz (d. h. dem marginalen Zinssatz) der Gesamtbetrag dieser Gebote den verbleibenden Zuteilungsbetrag übersteigt, wird letzterer anteilig auf die Gebote nach Maßgabe des Verhältnisses zwischen verbleibendem Zuteilungsbetrag und Gesamtbetrag der Gebote zum marginalen Zinssatz zugeteilt (siehe Kasten 5).
