Records that the petitions considered by the Committee on Petitions in 2007 included – although it was originally tabled in 2006 – the so-called "One Seat" petition, which was supported by 1.25 million EU citizens and which called for a single seat for the European Parliament, to be located in Brussels; notes that in October 2007 the President referred the petition back to the committee, which subsequently called for Parliament to give its opinion on this question, bearing in mind that the seat of the institution is governed by the provisions of the Treaty and that the Member States have the responsibility for taking a decision on this matter;
33. nimmt zur Kenntnis, dass der Petitionsausschuss im Jahre 2007 unter anderem auch die zwar ursprünglich 2006 eingereichte so genannte „One-seat-Petition“ prüfte, die von 1,25 Millionen EU-Bürgern unterstützt wurde und einen einzigen Sitz für das Parlament in Brüssel forderte; nimmt zur Kenntnis, dass der Präsident im Oktober 2007 die Petition an den Ausschuss rücküberwiesen hat, der daraufhin das Parlament aufforderte, eine Stellungnahme zu dieser Frage abzugeben in Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass der Sitz des Organs durch die Bestimmung des Vertrags geregelt wird und die Mitgliedstaaten für den Beschluss über diese Angelegenheiten zuständig sind;
