Where the largest single printable surface area is 80 cm² or less and space does not permit the recommended letter height (x-height), more emphasis should be given to issues such as colour and contrast of the text, type of font selection, i.e. easy-to-read (sans serif) fonts, use of bold and italic text where appropriate, layout of text, brevity and clarity of message.
