The Commission communication, which I consider to be extremely positive, follows the consultation process launched by the Commission in 2000 on “Acting locally for employment”, which involved a large number of actors at European, national and local levels and confirmed the opinion that Parliament had expressed on a number of occasions in the past. It also tallied with the positions of the Commission regarding the necessity and importance of making good use of local actors.
Die Mitteilung der Kommission, die ich als sehr positiv betrachte, schließt sich an eine Konsultation an, welche die Kommission selbst im Jahr 2000 zum Thema „Beschäftigung vor Ort fördern“ eingeleitet hatte. Diese Konsultation, an der sich zahlreiche Akteure auf europäischer, nationaler und lokaler Ebene beteiligt haben, hat die von diesem Parlament in der Vergangenheit mehrfach geäußerte und sich auch in den Positionen der Kommission niederschlagende Auffassung bestätigt, dass es notwendig und wichtig ist, den lokalen Akteuren größere Bedeutung beizumessen.
