In der griechischen Presse („TO VIMA“, 24.1.2006) war zu lesen, dass der griechische Ministerpräsident Karamanlis - der seit fast zwei Jahren auch Kulturminister ist - in diesem Zeitraum insgesamt nur 9,5 Stunden in seinem Büro im Kulturministerium verbracht hat, um dort mit Persönlichkeiten aus Kultur und Literatur zusammenzutreffen, wobei er den Ausschuss für Bildung und Kultur, dessen bezahlte Mitglieder seit einem Jahr regulär ihr Gehalt beziehen, nur ein einziges Mal einberufen hat.
