In implementing the strategy, particular attention is attached to two objectives: promoting synergies between development and environment objectives especially in the follow-up to the WSSD in developing countries and ensuring that appropriate procedures are in place to assess the environmental impacts of all development co-operation programmes.
Bei der Umsetzung der Strategie sind insbesondere zwei Ziele zu berücksichtigen: Förderung der Synergieeffekte zwischen Entwicklungs- und Umweltzielen, insbesondere im Rahmen der Follow-up-Maßnahmen des Weltgipfels für nachhaltige Entwicklung in Entwicklungsländern, und Gewährleistung der Anwendung geeigneter Verfahren zur Abschätzung der Umweltauswirkungen aller Kooperationsprogramme für Entwicklung.
