1. Broadly welcomes the Commission Communication ‘The CAP towards 2020: meeting the food, natural resources and territorial challenges of the future’; recognises the need for further reform of the CAP in line with the changing nature of the farming industry in the EU27 and the new international context of globalisation; calls for the continuation of a strong and sustainable CAP with a budget commensurate with the ambitious objectives to be pursued in an effort to meet the new challenges; firmly rejects any moves towards a renationalisation of the CAP;
1. begrüßt die Mitteilung der Kommission „Die GAP bis 2020: Nahrungsmittel, natürliche Ressourcen und ländliche Gebiete – die künftigen Herausforderungen“ und betont, dass es einer weiteren Reform der GAP bedarf, um der derzeitigen sich wandelnden agrarpolitischen Wirklichkeit in der EU der 27 und dem von der Globalisierung bestimmten neuen internationalen Umfeld Rechnung zu tragen, und fordert für die Zukunft die Aufrechterhaltung einer tragfähigen und dauerhaften GAP mit einer Mittelausstattung, die den hochgesteckten Zielen, die es zur Bewältigung der neuen Herausforderungen zu verfolgen gilt, angemessen ist, und weist jegliche Maßnahmen hin zu einer Renationalisierung der GAP entschieden zurück;
