This Code brings together in a single volume the provisions of customs law governing trade with third countries; it s
ets out the general conditions for applying the Community's Customs Tariff and other measures applicable to trade with third countries in the interest of consistency at all points of the external border. The legislative content of the Code can be subdivided into three parts: a) an introductory section which contains the basic rules and concepts of customs law (focusing on the Community's customs territory, the Customs Tariff of the European Communities, value for customs purpose
