Since the Commission was informed of Dell’s strategy concerning the existence of two sites, when the prospect of choosing between them presented itself, I believe that a more proactive strategy by the Commission should have led to a negotiation with Dell aimed at the transformation of the Irish site, given that the company’s strategy has been to turn a site manufacturing desktop computers, such as existed in Ireland, into a site manufacturing laptop computers, such as currently exists in Poland.
Da die Kommission über das Konzept von Dell, bei dem zwei Produktionsstätten existieren, informiert war, als sich die Perspektive der Wahl zwischen beiden ergab, glaube ich, dass eine proaktivere Strategie seitens der Kommission zu einer Verhandlung mit Dell hätte führen sollen, mit dem Ziel der Umwandlung der irischen Stätte, angesichts der Strategie des Unternehmens, eine Stätte, die PCs herstellt, wie sie in Irland existierte, in eine Stätte umzuwandeln, die Laptops herstellt, wie sie aktuell in Polen besteht.
