In Latvia the figure was almost 900 deaths per million cars, in Lithuania and Poland, over 500, and in Hungary, Estonia, Bulgaria and Slovakia, only slightly less as compared with just over 300 in Spain, Portugal and Ireland and only around 150 in the UK (There are no data for Greece or Italy.) On the other hand, the figures are similar to those experienced in some Objective 1 regions, particularly in Spain, where in Castilla y León and Castilla-la Mancha, road deaths were over 600 per million cars and in Extremadura, over 450.
In Lettland kamen auf eine Million Pkw fast 900 Tote, in Litauen und Polen über 500, in Ungarn, Estland, Bulgarien und der Slowakei nur geringfügig weniger. Im Vergleich dazu lagen die Zahlen in Spanien, Portugal und Irland knapp über 300, im Vereinigten Königreich bei etwa 150 (für Griechenland und Italien liegen keine Zahlen vor). Die Zahlen unterscheiden sich jedoch nicht sehr von denen, die in einigen Ziel-1-Regionen verzeichnet werden, namentlich in Spanien, wo die Zahl der Verkehrstoten pro Million Pkw in Castilla y León sowie Castilla-La Mancha über 600, in Extremadura über 450 betrug.
