In cases where the option is exercised, there may be a payment from the option writer to the option holder equal to the difference between the prevailing market price of the underlying asset and the strike price, or, alternatively, there may be the acquisition or sale of the underlying financial or non-financial asset recorded at the prevailing market price and a counterpart payment between the option holder and the option writer equal to the strike price.
Wird sie ausgeübt, erfolgt u. U. eine Zahlung des Optionsverkäufers an den Optionskäufer in Höhe der Differenz zwischen dem geltenden Marktpreis des Optionsgegenstands und dem vereinbarten Ausübungspreis, oder es findet ein Kauf oder Verkauf des Optionsgegenstands (bei dem es sich um ein finanzielles oder um ein nichtfinanzielles Aktivum handeln kann) statt, der zum geltenden Marktpreis gebucht wird und dem eine Zahlung zwischen dem Optionskäufer und dem Optionsverkäufer in Höhe des vereinbarten Basis- bzw. Ausübungspreises gegenübersteht.
