At the moment, by convention, primary electricities of renewable origin are accounted on their thermal equivalent per Joule effect (1 TWh = 0.086 Mtoe), whereas electricity of nuclear origin, which is also considered as a primary electricity, is accounted on the basis of the heat produced in the reactor (1 TWh = 0.26 Mtoe by convention).
Heute ist es üblich, die Primärenergie aus erneuerbaren Energieträgern anhand ihres thermischen Äquivalents nach dem Joule-Effekt (1TWh = 0,086 Mtep) mengenmäßig zu erfassen, während der Atomstrom, der auch als Primärelektrizität angesehen wird, auf der Grundlage der im Reaktor erzeugten Wärme erfasst wird (1 TWh = 0,26 Mtep üblicherweise).
