The Danish authorities considered that the existence of a rail service could take account of certain specific concerns which were not addressed by the existing bus service, such as the servicing of the neighbouring Swedish towns along the train route, with three stops in the Swedish towns of Fosieby (Malmö), Svedala and Skurup.
