The Union has a solid legislative ’ acquis ’ as a complement to Member States’ action in improving working and living conditions, ensuring minimum standards across the EU on working conditions, health and safety at work, information, consultation, participation rights of workers, gender equality and non-discrimination, underpinning fairer competition, high levels of productivity, and for the creation of quality jobs.
Die Europäische Union verfügt als Ergänzung zu den Maßnahmen der Mitgliedstaaten über einen soliden legislativen Besitzstand, den sog. „ Acquis “, zur Verbesserung der Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen, Gewährleistung von Mindeststandards in der gesamten EU in den Bereichen Arbeitsbedingungen, Gesundheit und Sicherheit am Arbeitsplatz, Unterrichtung, Anhörung, Mitbestimmungsrechte der Beschäftigten, Gleichstellung von Frauen und Männern und Nichtdiskriminierung, zur Stärkung eines fairen Wettbewerbs, für eine hohe Produktivität und die Schaffung qualitativ hochwertiger Arbeitsplätze.
