The EU funding will provide €57 million in emergency relief for people affected by the overall Sahel food and nutrition crisis, €28 million to assist victims of the Mali crisis, €7.5 million for the food crisis situation in Nigeria, where the North is experiencing the most challenging situation; €29.5 million for Chad, which is in a complex crisis with an increasing number of refugees; and €2 million for North Cameroon.
Die EU-Mittel teilen sich wie folgt auf: 57 Mio. EUR für Soforthilfe zugunsten der von der Nahrungsmittel- und Ernährungskrise in der Sahel-Zone betroffenen Menschen, 28 Mio. EUR für die Opfer der Krise in Mail, 7,5 Mio. EUR als Beitrag zur Überwindung der Nahrungsmittelkrise in Nigeria, von der der Norden des Landes am schwersten betroffen ist, 29,5 Mio. EUR für Tschad, wo die Flüchtlingsströme infolge einer komplexen Krise anschwellen, und 2 Mio. EUR für den Norden Kameruns.
