(25) In order to assist in the rapid identification of contaminated sites, the owner of a site where, according to official records such as national registers or cadastres, a soil-polluting activity has taken or is taking place, or the prospective buyer should, prior to completing the land transaction, provide relevant information on the status of the soil to the competent authority and to the other party in the transaction.
(25) Im Hinblick auf eine schnelle Bestimmung verunreinigter Standorte sollte der Besitzer oder ein voraussichtlicher Käufer eines Standortes, an dem laut amtlichen Aufzeichnungen wie Grundbuch- oder Katastereintragungen eine Boden verschmutzende Tätigkeit stattgefunden hat bzw. stattfindet, der zuständigen Behörde und die andere Partei in der Transaktion vor dem Abschluss der Transaktion einschlägige Informationen über den Zustand des Bodens vorlegen.
