Calls for the European Union to acquire a genuine space policy covering the civilian and military aspects of the use of space and for it to combine its national and multinational military resources in a Common European Union Space Command (CEUSC); considers, however, that the objective of this new policy should not be to put weapons in orbit but rather to develop observation, listening and navigation systems;
41. fordert, dass die Europäische Union eine echte Weltraumpolitik entwickelt, die die zivilen und militärischen Aspekte der Nutzung des Weltraums abdeckt, und dass sie die nationalen und multinationalen Instrumente, über die sie auf militärischem Gebiet verfügt, im Rahmen eines gemeinsamen Weltraumkommandos der Europäischen Union zusammenführt; ist jedoch der Ansicht, dass diese neue Politik nicht zum Ziel haben dürfte, Waffen im Weltraum zu stationieren, sondern vielmehr darauf abzielen müsste, Beobachtungs-, Abhör- und Navigationsinstrumente zu entwickeln;
