The buildings included the minority’s administrative headquarters, the infants’ school and several shops, which, on the pretext that they had been poorly constructed, were destroyed by bulldozers on the instructions of the town’s mayor, whose election, it must be stressed, was not recognised as legitimate by Council of Europe observers.
Es handelt sich dabei u. a. um den Verwaltungssitz der Minderheit, ihre Schule und mehrere Geschäfte. Sie wurden unter dem Vorwand, sie seien ohne Genehmigung erbaut worden, auf Anordnung des Bürgermeisters der Stadt mit Planierraupen niedergerissen. Die Wahl dieses Bürgermeisters, dies sei betont, wurde von den Beobachtern des Europarates nicht als rechtmäßig anerkannt.
