Urges the Commission and the Member States to promote the use of co-generation and other methods of utilising waste heat, for example by including this factor in the authorisation and operating conditions for new industrial installations, such as power stations, furnaces and waste incineration plants;
11. dringt bei der Kommission und den Mitgliedstaaten darauf, die Anwendung der Wärme-Kraft-Kopplung und die Nutzung der Restwärme in irgendeiner Form zu fördern, z.B. durch deren Einbeziehung in die Genehmigungs- und Betriebsbedingungen für neue Industrieanlagen wie Elektrizitätswerke, Feuerungsanlagen und Abfallverbrennungseinrichtungen;
