In this context, the Commissioner deplored the further deterioration of the humanitarian situation, notably in Northern Darfur, due to shortage of water and food mostly caused the systematic vandalising of critical water points, accompanied by raiding and looting of crops.
In diesem Zusammenhang bedauerte der EU-Kommissar die weitere Verschlechterung der humanitären Lage insbesondere in Norddarfur. Die fortschreitende Wasser- und Nahrungsmittelknappheit ist zum größten Teil auf die systematische Zerstörung wichtiger Wasserstellen, Überfälle und die Plünderung von Ernten zurückzuführen.
