1. Calls on the Commission to draw up a study on the situation in the fish product canning industry and aquaculture in the European Union: companies, trends in the industry in the last few years in the various Community countries, data on production, origin of raw material, volume of exports and imports, employment, technical and health standards, tariff arrangements and, in general, on the law applicable to the industry and codification of that law;
1. fordert die Kommission auf, eine Studie über die Lage der Konservenindustrie für Fischereiund Aquakulturerzeugnisse in der Europäischen Union auszuarbeiten, der folgende Aspekte umfaßt: die Unternehmen, die Entwicklung des Sektors in den einzelnen Ländern in den letzten Jahren, die Produktionsdaten, die Herkunft der Rohstoffe, den Umfang der Exporte und Importe, die Beschäftigungslage, die Hygienevorschriften, die Zollbestimmungen sowie generell die für den Sektor geltenden Rechtsvorschriften und deren Kodifizierung;
