Hier wird eine Obergrenze von 1g/kg für die Mengen von E432 bis E436-Polysorbaten im verzehrfertigen Lebensmittel festgesetzt, in dem flüssige Raucharomen und Aromen auf der Basis von Gewürzoleoresin verwendet werden, statt eine Obergrenze für die Menge dieser Zusatzstoffe im Aromastoff selbst anzugeben, als bessere Art und Weise, die Menge dieser Polysorbate in Lebensmitteln zu begrenzen. 1g/kg ist die niedrigste in bestimmten Lebensmitteln durch die Richtlinie 95/2/EG bereits zugelassene Grenze; durch Festsetzung des Zusatzstoffanteils im Lebensmittel muss der Zusatzstoff auf dem Endprodukt gekennzeichnet sein.
