Welcomes the Commission’s plans to come forward with concrete policy suggestions for 2030 energy and climate targets; reminds that a more ambitious target on renewable energy will only be feasible if its realisation goes along with a radical modernisation of the grid infrastructure and the development of storage and base load facilities; in this context stresses the utmost importance of the accomplishment of the internal energy market by 2014;
