The livestock structure of a ship, its connections to the hull, its fittings and equipment, and all items provided for the needs of livestock outside the livestock structure must be constructed and maintained to a standard no less than that which would be applicable to similar structures, connections, fittings, equipment and items surveyed by the ship’s classification society.

Die Struktur eines Schiffes für das Vieh, deren Anbindung an den Schiffsrumpf, deren Einrichtung und Ausstattung sowie alle für die Bedürfnisse des Viehs außerhalb der Struktur für das Vieh vorhandenen Installationen müssen nach einem Standard errichtet und gewartet werden, der nicht niedriger ist als der, der für entsprechende Strukturen, Anbindungen, Ausstattungen und andere Installationen von der Schiffsklassifikationsgesellschaft angewandt wird.
