Luxembourg – After almost three years of project development, the path is now clear for the construction of the Trianel Borkum wind power plant (Trianel Windkraftwerks Borkum – TWB. The 34 shareholders from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland issued the construction decision for the first phase of the offshore wind farm at TWB’s general meeting and the finance agreements were signed today in Frankfurt. The 56 km² wind farm is located around 45 km north of the coast of Borkum, adjacent to the Alpha Ventus field, Germany’s first offshore wind farm.
