A positive reaction in the NSP-ELISA can be confirmed by testing a new serum sample of the same animal in the same test (Berlinzani et al., 2001) or by testing the same serum against a panel of NSPs such as 2C, 3A, 3B, 3ABC and 3D in the enzyme-linked immunoelectrotransfer blot assay (EITB) (Bergmann et al., 2000) or in a profiling ELISA with Lb, 2C, 3A and 3D (MacKay et al., 1998).
Eine positive Reaktion im NSP-ELISA-Test kann bestätigt werden, indem eine neue Serumprobe desselben Tieres mit demselben Test getestet wird (Berlinzani et al., 2001) oder indem dasselbe Serum auf eine Reihe von NSP, wie beispielsweise 2C, 3A, 3B, 3ABC and 3D, getestet wird, und zwar entweder mit dem enzym-gekoppelten Immunoelektrotransfer-Blot-Test (EITB) (Bergmann et al., 2000) oder mit einem „profiling“-ELISA-Test mit Lb, 2C, 3A und 3D (MacKay et al., 1998).
