10. betont, dass die Textil- und Bekleidungsindustrie der EU mit derzeit 2,6 Mio. Beschäftigten und einem Umsatz von 230 Mrd. Euro ständig mit Umstrukturierungsproblemen konfrontiert ist und gemeinsam von der Kommission und den Mitgliedstaaten unterstützt werden sollte, um ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu verbessern, und zwar durch Förderung des spezifischen EU-Mehrwerts, der z. B. in den Infrastrukturen für die Logistik, der geografischen Nähe zu den EU-Märkten, der raschen Erfüllung von Kundenwünschen, der Innovation in Mode und Design, der Produktqualität und der Rolle des Großhandels zum Ausdruck kommt;
