The Council wants to promote and is promoting solutions and I think it is vital to have proposals and ideas from all sides as to how to deal with this problem, a problem which does not just have to do with naval architecture; it also has to do with a whole series of other issues – economic, social, institutional and organisational issues – and how these issues should be dealt with at political and European Union level.
Der Rat bemüht sich um Lösungen, und er schafft sie auch. Ich halte es für sehr wichtig, dass von vielen Seiten Vorschläge und Ideen eingebracht werden, die sich mit diesem Problem befassen, einem Problem, das nicht nur mit dem technischen Schiffsaufbau zu tun hat, sondern auch mit einer Reihe anderer Fragen ökonomischer, sozialer, institutioneller und organisatorischer Art sowie mit der Behandlung dieser Angelegenheiten in politischer Hinsicht und auf der Ebene der Europäischen Union.
