May I remind you that, while criterion 8 of the common position states that, when one Member State of the European Union wants to export arms to another, it must take account of the economic standing of the country to which it is exporting, in the case of Greece, France and Germany are putting pressure on it to buy their arms in order to secure their political support and are doing so at a time when Greece is in very dire financial straits and is subject to numerous controls, at a time when pensions, salaries and so on are being cut in the country.
Darf ich Sie daran erinnern, dass, obwohl in Kriterium 8 des Gemeinsamen Standpunktes festgelegt ist, dass ein Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union, wenn er Waffen in einen anderen Mitgliedstaat exportieren will, er die wirtschaftliche Lage des Landes berücksichtigen muss, in dass er die Waffen exportiert, Frankreich und Deutschland auf Griechenland Druck ausüben, ihre Waffen zu kaufen, um ihre politische Unterstützung sicherzustellen. Sie tun dies zu einem Zeitpunkt, zu dem sich Griechenland in einer katastrophalen finanziellen Lage befindet und zahlreichen Kontrollen unterliegt.
