A set of habitat types needs to be drawn up for each region, sub-region or subdivision, taking into account the different habitats contained in the indicative list in Table 1 of Annex III and having regard to the instruments mentioned in point 2 of Part A. Such instruments also refer to a number of habitat complexes (which means assessing, where appropriate, the composition, extent and relative proportions of habitats within such complexes) and to functional habitats (such as spawning, breeding and feeding areas and migration routes).
Für jede Region, Unterregion oder Unterteilung müssen unter Berücksichtigung der in der indikativen Liste in Anhang III Tabelle 1 genannten Lebensräume und der in Teil A Ziffer 2 genannten Instrumente verschiedene Lebensraumtypen zusammengestellt werden. In diesen Instrumenten wird auch Bezug genommen auf Lebensraumkomplexe (was bedeutet, dass gegebenenfalls die Zusammensetzung, die Größe und die jeweiligen Anteile der Lebensräume innerhalb solcher Komplexe beurteilt werden müssen) und funktionale Lebensräume (wie Laichgründe, Brutstätten, Aufzuchtgebiete und Wanderrouten).
