Und doch ist auch klar, Herr Präsident, dass unser Parlament unter Ihrem Vorsitz seine graduelle Wandlung von einer Institution, die Demokratie fordert und dafür kämpft, zu einer Versammlung, die allzu häufig unterwürfig ist und vorsichtig darauf achtet, nicht diese oder jene Regierung aufzuschrecken, fortgesetzt hat.
Yet it is also clear, Mr President, that, under your presidency, our Parliament has continued its gradual transformation from an institution that demands and fights for democracy to an assembly that is all too often submissive and careful not to rock the boat of this or that government.
