However, in view of the objective of reducing the associated risks of the transplanted organs, it is necessary to include in the scope of this Directive certain provisions concerning transplantation and, in particular, provisions aimed at addressing those unintended and unexpected situations occurring during the transplantation that might affect the quality and safety of organs.
In Anbetracht der Zielsetzung, die mit transplantierten Organen verbundenen Gefahren zu verringern, ist es jedoch notwendig, bestimmte Vorschriften für die Transplantation und insbesondere für unbeabsichtigte und unerwartete Situationen, die während der Transplantation eintreten und die Qualität und Sicherheit der Organe beeinträchtigen können, in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Richtlinie aufzunehmen.
