Moreover, the use of pesticides shall be prohibited or restricted to the minimum necessary in certain sensitive areas, i.e. the areas covered by the Birds and Habitats Directives and areas used by the general public or by sensitive population groups, at least in parks, public gardens, sports grounds, school grounds and playgrounds.
In bestimmten empfindlichen Gebieten ist zudem die Ausbringung von Pestiziden verboten oder streng begrenzt. Dies gilt für Gebiete, die unter die Vogel - und Habitat -Richtlinien fallen, sowie für Gebiete, die von der Allgemeinheit oder von besonders schutzbedürftigen Bevölkerungsgruppen genutzt werden, zumindest in Parks, öffentlichen Gärten, auf Sportplätzen, Schulpausenhöfen und Spielplätzen.
