(12) Whereas, to ensure effective controls and to facilitate customs procedures, customs offices should be designated, with trained personnel responsible for carrying out the necessary formalities and corresponding checks where specimens are introduced into the Community, in order to assign them a customs-approved treatment or use within the meaning of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92 of 12 October 1992 establishing the Community Customs Code (5), or where they are exported or re-exported from the Community; whereas there should also be facilities guaranteeing that live specimens are adequately housed and cared for;
(12) Zur Sicherstellung wirksamer Kontrollen und zur Erleichterung der Zollverfahren sollten Zollstellen bezeichnet werden, die über ausgebildetes Personal verfügen, das für die Durchführung der erforderlichen Förmlichkeiten und der entsprechenden Überprüfungen bei der Ausfuhr oder Wiederausfuhr von Exemplaren aus der Gemeinschaft oder bei deren Einfuhr in die Gemeinschaft zuständig ist, um deren zollrechtliche Bestimmung im Sinne der Verordnung (EWG) Nr. 2913/92 des Rates vom 12. Oktober 1992 zur Festlegung des Zollkodex der Gemeinschaft (5) zu ermitteln.
